As You Grew takes treasured moments and stows them away for safekeeping, reminding you to appreciate every second of those early days of parenthood and shows readers that as a child grows, so does our love for them.
“As you grew, so did my heart.”
Drawing from the experience of watching her son grow during those first precious months of life when the world seems to spin too fast, Dana Moneymaker began to weave together a beautiful narrative as she rocked her baby at naptime and at night. Part celebration, part mourning, As You Grew will resonate with parents as they read Dana’s story of welcoming each new stage of babyhood while simultaneously waving goodbye to the last.
A gorgeously illustrated cover, a heartfelt and relatable story.
As You Grew is the perfect gift for a baby shower, a new mom, or for building your child’s library.
“I am filled with gratitude for having had the opportunity to work with [Dana on her] book. It is one of the most beautiful books I have ever had the pleasure of working on.”

Inspired by real moments.
I remember it like yesterday. Aiden was maybe two months old. We both woke up groggy and, like every morning, just as the sunrise diffused warm light into our bedroom, I took him to the changing table. I unzipped his tiny, little avocado pajamas - my favorite pair - and realized with a pang in my chest and a lump in my throat that it didn’t fit him anymore. He’s growing up so fast. Too fast.
This would happen time and again in that first year — the day would inevitably come when he’d outgrow my favorite [insert any article of baby clothing or accessory here]. But I couldn’t give those things away. I donated plenty of Aiden’s old clothes. I tossed more blow-out stained onesies than I care to admit. But those special items? His baby blanket from the hospital, his adorable brown fair isle sweater, his first pair of shoes? I’ve kept them, of course. Tucked away in a little linen box, nestled on a shelf in my closet for safekeeping.
And you know what? I haven’t met a mother who can’t relate. Who doesn’t have a little box of her own filled with her own precious treasures and memories of moments with her children that she’ll cherish forever.
If you know what I mean, if you know this feeling, this book is for you.
